Maritime Circular
Revision of Maritime Circulars
We have revised our Maritime Circular Letter system and have issued the enclosed new Maritime Circulars which have a designation ‘MC’ and replace those previous issued to Classification Societies, Recognised Organisations, Recognised Security Organisations, Surveyors of Ships & Flag State Inspectors that had the designation ‘SV’. Please study these as the instructions contained within may vary from existing instructions and information.
Maritime Circulars will be issued with consecutive numbering and their year of issue e.g. MC/03/09 means ‘Maritime Circular Number 3 issued in 2009’. We will no longer be issuing separate Circular Letters which contain public information to different organisations with whom we interact.
